EFW November House Show Results

Non-Televised Results from the EFW November House Show November 15th, 2008

Homeless Hank def. Chad Hotti - Coming off his loss against Casey Chase at R3LOAD, Homeless Hank squared off against Chad Hotti in the opening bout of the night. Hotti has still not been able to grab the attention of the EFW roster and looked to changed that against Hank, who as of late has been on a streak of momentum. Hank started off the match with a flurry of strikes and offense, which changed when Hotti nailed a facebuster followed with a top rope leg drop. After a couple of exchanges Hank put Hotti in the abdominal stretch and then took the fight to the outside. Hotti went back in and connected with a running elbow to Hank followed up with a choke on the ropes. Hotti continued to taunt his opponent only to receive a vicious chop and more punches. Hotti sneaked in a rollup but only got a 2 count. Hank came back with a clothesline and then busted Chad open with a couple punches on the ground. Soon after Hank connected with the Stink Bomb and the pinfall victory.

Warrant def. El Macho Lobsto - Warrant, since becoming the EFW Hardcore Champion, has been on a tear showing his aggressive nature in his title defenses. This match was not for the Hardcore Title but it still showed in this match. Lobsto never entirely had a chance in this match as Warrant was on the offensive for the majority of the contest. The finish came when Warrant grabbed a chair from ringside and delivered a sick Rocket Launcher Chokeslam to Lobsto from the top rope onto the chair below, followed by the pinfall.

Diamond Dave def. Don Rudy by Countout - The EFW LH Champion Diamond Dave was more concerned with the following match to decide if he will be defending the title and against who at the next EFW event in the #1 contender's battle royal. Rudy started out with some offense until Diamond Dave started working over the knee of Rudy. Rudy came back with a bulldog and slapped on a sharpshooter, only for Dave to sneak out and once again target Rudy's knee. Diamond Dave turned his attention to some dirty tactics by choking his opponent and later capitalizing on a reverse DDT. Rudy fought back with a falling powerslam and then an elbow drop from the top rope. It had appeared that this would be the opening Rudy was looking for until Dick Handsome made his presence known with a belly-to-belly suplex on Rudy. Diamond Dave sent Rudy to the outside where Dick Handsome worked him over on the outside. The referee completed the 10 count and sealed a very deplorable countout victory for Diamond Dave.

Dylan Royal wins the #1 Contender Battle Royal for the LH Title def. Dick Handsome, GarrettSYCO, Hans, Jamal Darnell, and Danny Young - The stipulation for this match was that if Dick Handsome won this match, then Diamond Dave would not have to defend his LH Title at the next EFW event. If anyone else won, they would face Diamond Dave for the title with Dick Handsome banned from ringside. Hans and Dick went after Garrett on a double team attack to start the match. Dick showed off his power by press slamming Danny Young out of the ring for the first elimination of the battle royal. Dylan nearly pushed Garrett over the ropes for elimination #2 but he fought out of it. As the match progressed Dick Handsome stayed out of the fray as much as possible. Dylan chucked Jamal Darnell over the top rope, but thanks to an assist from Garrett Jamal was eliminated. That alliance was quickly broken up when Dylan Royal dumped Garrett over the ropes and to the floor, leaving only Dylan Royal, Hans, and Dick Handsome in the contest. Dylan and Hans almost were able to knock Dick Handsome but he hung on. Dick and Hans returned to their team strategy with a double DDT on Dylan. That quickly ended when Dick sent Hans into the turnbuckle, but Hans came back with a neckbreaker. Dylan came very close to eliminating Hans, even with the unlikely assistance of Dick Handsome, but Hans somehow slide back in and kept his opportunity alive. Hans threw Dick Handsome over the ropes and both he and Dylan shoved the "Sexiest Man in EFW" over the ropes to a thunderous ovation. It meant that Diamond Dave would be defending against either Hans or Dylan Royal. The end came when Dylan connected with the Straight Jacket Brainbuster and tossed Hans over the top rope, winning and getting a shot at Diamond Dave for the LH Title without any outside interference.

Justin Springer & Megan LaRae def. Carlos Anderson & Kenzan Kotasu by submission - Anderson, the current EFW North American champion, already holds a victory over Springer from the September House Show. Japanese female wrestler "The Hydra" Kenzan Kotasu made her first encounter with the supposid dominate female in EFW Megan LaRae. Anderson went to the offense quickly on Springer as the two women brawled around the ring. This was highlighted by a massive backbreaker from Anderson to Megan LaRae. The two men took their turn on the outside while Megan hit an elbow from the top on Kenzan. Springer got a hold of Kenzan and applied a shoulderlock while Anderson hit Megan with a drop kick from the top. Megan sent Anderson into the corner and sent him down with a headscissors takedown. It looked like Carlos may have came close to landing on his head, but he was out cold for Megan to make a pinfall. During this time Springer applied a single leg crab submission to Kenzan who had no choice but to tapout.
(Editor's note: interestingly enough the referee acknowledged the tapout but the match stopped after the pinfall was counted. The results have been adjusted and Springer is credited with the submission victory.)

Mike Envy (w/ Steve Cabana) def. Sean Broman - Before this match took place, it was announced that Cabana and Envy will be defending their EFW Tag Team titles against Broman and the loser of the World Title #1 contender's match following this contest. Envy went after Broman with various attacks on Broman's leg while Cabana looked on from ringside. Broman made the mistake of exiting the ring where he was met by a double team from Cabana and Envy. Back in the ring Envy continued the onslaught with a back suplex. Broman tossed Envy into the corner and came after with shoulder charges, but quickly turned his attention to Cabana outside. After some more outside attacks from Cabana and Envy, Envy nailed Broman with the Vanity Killer, but Cabana interfered and stomped the referee to break the count. Cabana grabbed a chair and Envy hit a twisting suplex onto the chair provided by Cabana. With the referee getting up, Cabana leveled him with a running boot and clocked Broman with the chair busting him open. Cabana put the finish on his blatant interference with a running boot to Broman. The referee recovered as Envy hit another Vanity Killer, and in fear of being attacked once more made the 3 count for another undefeated night for the Rockstar Mafia.

Ocho Gato def. The Puma to become #1 contender for the EFW World Title - This would mark the second only meeting between these two competitors having previously met in an EFW North American Title tournament back in Season 1 in 2007. The Puma started off this match utilizing his martial arts background with a series of kicks to Ocho. Ocho came alive with a headscissors takeover on Puma but he came right back with a takedown and a dropkick to the face. Ocho reversed an irish whip and went after Puma with a springboard reverse DDT, followed by a tope atomico. Puma put an end to the offensive onslaught of Ocho Gato with a short-arm clothesline then a dropkick from the top rope. Puma unloaded on Gato with a barrage of punches and kicks topped off with a spinning heel kick to the face. At this point it showed that both competitors were evenly matched. Puma stayed on with a vertical suplex into the ropes but fell victim to a rollup from Ocho for only a 2 count. Puma hit a textbook vertical suplex but once again Ocho fought back with a spinning heel kick of his own and later a school boy rollup for only a 2 count. Puma went back to his striking offense and faked a charging attack sliding to the outside, but Ocho was there to greet him with an amazing springboard corkscrew plancha. Back in the ring the attention turned to the corner where Ocho hit a swinging bulldog while later Puma matched it with a top rope spike DDT. Puma found a weak spot in Ocho's plan with a top rope armbreaker coupled with an armbar submission. Ocho found a way out but it appeared the damage had been done. Puma attempted a vertical suplex and quickly floated over for the pin but only got a 2 count. He continued with a kick to the midsection and a somersault neckbreaker, and then went back to working on the arm with another top rope armbreaker. Ocho surprised Puma with a rollup from behind for a 2 count. Puma attempted the Tiger Suplex but Ocho backflipped right out of it, sending him into the corner for a dropkick and a schoolboy rollup for the win.

Post R3LOAD Notes and November House Show News

News and Notes from EFW R3LOAD:

- Management has heard the concerns about Dick Handsome's consistent interference in his partner Diamond Dave's matches for the LH Title. Considering the lackluster match Dave had at R3LOAD, the upcoming house show will decide a new #1 contender.

- With their win against the Rockstar Mafia in the 6-Man Hardcore Match, Ocho Gato and The Puma will face each other with the winner faceing Casey Chase for the EFW World Title at the following EFW event.

- Following their completely disappointing Rochambeau match, King Bryan and HS Jimmy will be taken off the upcoming House Show not only for their poor performance but for also using copyrighted entrance songs. The fans are no doubt pleased at this news.

EFW R3LOAD Text and Video Results

Dark Matches

Don Rudy def. Chad Hotti -
Rudy picked up the win with a Death Valley Driver.

Sean Broman def. Hans by tapout - Sean made Hans tapout to a scissored sleeper hold for the win.

Dylan Royal def. Jamal Darnell - Before the match began, Dylan got on the mic and expressed his frustration at being on a dark match while King Bryan is on the main card "in a contest where two tossers kick themselves in the marbles." Dylan then went into a rant referring to the difference between a "wrestler" and an "entertainer", no doubt in reference to WWE's change in performer terminology. "I am a wrestler, not an entertainer," he proclaimed, "an entertainer is one who performs at birthday parties." Certainly Royal has some major issues with King Bryan that hopefully will get resolved in the ring. Getting to the match finally, Royal scored the win on Jamal with the Straight Jacket Brainbuster.

Main Card (Text Results)

Diamond Dave def. El Macho Lobsto to retain the EFW LH Title - This was not considered a fan favorite match due to the excessive outside interference of Dave's associate Dick Handsome. Lobsto tried the best he could but ultimately fell victim to the Cubic Zirconia Cutter and the pinfall.

Warrant def. Danny Young and GarrettSYCO in a 3-way match to retain the EFW Hardcore Title - Warrant served as a much larger opponent for Danny Young and Garrett, both LH wrestlers. Danny and Garrett have had their differences in the past, but early on sought to topple the champion with a number of double team attacks. Towards the end of the match Danny Young smacked both Garrett and Warrant with the ring bell and laid out both combatants. Instead of going for the quick pinfall, Danny went up top and missed Garrett with a huge elbow drop. Warrant made the cover on Danny to retain in a major error on Danny's part.

Ocho Gato/The Puma/Carlos Anderson def. The Rockstar Mafia (Mike Envy/Steve Cabana/Justin Springer) in a 6-man hardcore match when Ocho Gato made Mike Envy tapout- Anderson and The Puma are still fighting off the EFW Tag Team Champions and planned to help their tag partner Ocho Gato in extracting some revenge from Supercard, as it was Envy and Cabana who put Pink Elephant on the shelf with an injury. The match quickly turned into a brawl involving a great many weapons and outside fighting. Ocho Gato locked in a Mexican Surfboard on Envy in the win for the tapout victory.

EFW HOUSE SHOW #3 RESULTS

Full Text Results:

Kenzan Kotasu def. Aura by submission -
Kenzan Kotasu from Japan made her EFW debut in a match against EFW female favorite Aura. The match started with both wrestlers trading holds, but Aura found herself on the outside after Kenzan clotheslined her from the apron in an attempt to go up top. Kenzan then worked over Aura with a straight jacket arm submission to wear down her opponent. A pinfall after some more offense netted only a 2 count. Kenzan locked in a sleeper only to have Aura right out and mount a comeback. Aura sent Kenzan to the outside and nailed a PERFECT Asai Moonsault to the outside. Aura went for the Lungblower but Kenzan countered out and sent her down with a dragon screw followed by a single leg crab. The finish came when Kenzan locked in a rear naked choke leading to the tapout victory.

Danny Young def. Jamal Darnell - Danny made his EFW return after neck surgery that kept him out for a total of 7 months. His opponent Jamal Darnell hasn't been in the limelight as of late but wanted to spoil his return in a bad way. Danny opened the contest with a slingshot vertical suplex followed with an elbow drop. Jamal came back quickly with a corner clothesline and a top rope elbow drop to a standing Danny Young. Jamal covered and only got a 2 count. The match went on to be a back and forth affair, but in the end Danny Young took out Jamal with the Extreme Stunner and the 3 count for the win.

Warrant def. Homeless Hank and El Macho Lobsto in a 3-way Hardcore Match to become the new EFW Hardcore Champion - Homeless Hank came into this match after a successful win back in July, and both Warrant and Hank would focus solely on their smaller third competitor El Macho Lobsto. Lobsto started with a small package on Warrant for a quick 2 count. In comparison to the more wrestling-oriented matches earlier, this one quickly escalated into a brawl. Hank introduced the first chairshot of the night to Warrant and then locked Lobsto in a dragon sleeper, which was quickly broken up by a Warrant chairshot. The match continued with Hank delivering a low blow to Warrant and Lobsto hitting a chairshot on Hank, followed by Lobsto taunting Warrant. The action spilled outside with various objects coming into play including the steps. Hank connected on the Stink Bomb to Lobsto on the outside but then focused his attacks on the third man Warrant. The finish came inside the ring when Lobsto was taken out with a jab by Hank and Warrant went after Hank with a barb wire 2x4. He locked in a leglock neck submission for the tapout victory. This is Warrant's first EFW title and will defend it at the next EFW show.

Dylan Royal def. King Bryan by Countout - Put on paper as the match between "Royal vs. Royalty", Dylan Royal came out with a flurry of offense using his quickness and technical ability over his larger opponent. Bryan blocked a neck breaker and followed with a kick to the back of the knee and gave him the finger. Bryan kept the onslaught of cheap shots going leading to a Kick to the Curb, but didn't opt for the pinfall. Royal surprised Bryan snapping off a quick hurricanrana for a close 2 count. After a stomach punch Bryan reached down and hit the Loaded Punch, but once again took the opportunity to insult the ref instead of going for the pin. Bryan went to the outside and tripped the legs of Royal in the ring and laughed. While distracted, Royal went up top and hit a massive dive to the outside on Bryan. Bryan continued the match still unable to get a pinfall on Royal. Back in the ring, Bryan went up top for a splash but fell well short of Royal who was on the ground in the middle of the ring. Royal sent Bryan to the outside and mounted a quick offense. With the referee's count at 5, Bryan walked out of the match and awarded the win to Dylan Royal by countout.

Rockstar Mafia (Mike Envy/Steve Cabana) def. Ocho Gato/Sean Broman - Envy and Cabana have won the last 4 tag team matches while Gato and Broman were involved in a losing effort at Supercard, joining forces for this matchup. The Rockstar Mafia took to the offensive first isolating their opponents including a brainbuster from Mike Envy to Sean Broman. Envy countered an Ocho Gato hurricanrana into a powerbomb and locked in a single leg crab. Envy and Cabana dominated the matchup complete with a Cabana Bomb on Broman and a Vanity Killer on Ocho Gato, but both were able to kick out respectively. Ocho later rolled up Cabana for a 2 count as Broman and Gato attempted to pick up some offense. This was best achieved when Ocho distracted Cabana on the outside and Broman nailed a suicide plancha to Cabana on the outside. Back in the ring Envy recovered and hit Broman with a blockbuster from the top rope. Gato was caught and fell into the Rockstar World Tour (Cabana Bomb to Vanity Killer) but somehow Gato kicked out at 2. Broman hit a huge clothesline on Envy and spiked Cabana with a DDT that busted him open. Envy caught Broman with a midsection headbutt and landed an Inverted Vanity Killer for the pinfall and win.

Casey Chase def. Don Rudy - Casey sought to "burn his past" and started with his former tag team partner Don Rudy. Casey started the match with an enziguri and quickly sent Rudy to the outside. Rudy fired back in the ring with a series of knee drops and an arm drag, later followed by a belly to back suplex that rattled the EFW World Champion. Casey went up top with a springboard axehandle and continued his offense from there focusing on the arm of Don Rudy. Casey hit a top rope neckbreaker but only got a 2 count for his efforts. Casey connected with a running DDT and the ensuing leg drop, but the referee was knocked out after being too close on the leg drop. Casey used this chance to hit Rudy with a chair on the outside and hit a DDT onto the chair with the referee out. Rudy's face was a bloody mess after being repeatedly smashed into the ring post by Casey. Casey put Rudy in a sleeper but he was able to get out of it. Rudy hit a pumphandle slam but the offense didn't last long as Casey went after Rudy with the running DDT/leg drop combo. Casey slid to the outside and Rudy jumped after him with a suicide plancha. Casey showed his own aerial offense outside later sending Rudy down with a rope flip dive. The finish came when Casey hit the running DDT/leg drop combo followed by the Case Cutter for the victory.

Carlos Anderson def. Justin Springer to retain the EFW North American Title - Fully match highlights can be found in the video above. Despite interference from Rockstar Mafia's Megan Larae and assistance from The Puma, Anderson retained after sending Springer into the ring steps with a t-bone suplex.

News and notes from EFW Supercard 2008, and Card for EFW September House Show

EFW would like to thank all the fans that watched EFW Supercard 2008. A special thanks to Jack Spontane for providing the color commentary during the "Sport of Kings" boxing match.

Speaking of which, the boxing match featuring King Bryan and HS Jimmy was the first match of the card to reach 100 views on YouTube. Fans responded very well to this match as it offered something completely different to a traditional wrestling card. EFW has not ruled out using the Sport of Kings match in future.

Danny Young's return during the EFW LH Title match between Diamond Dave and Dylan Royal was a surprise to many, considering he had been out with a neck injury since February. His presence was not a main factor as Diamond Dave picked up the upset win over Dylan.

Pink Elephant is out of action with a broken rib after taking a sick Vanity Killer from Mike Envy with Steve Cabana holding the ring steps during the 3-way hardcore tag match. We hope that he recovers soon and will be ready to extract some revenge on the Rockstar Mafia.

By far the 2 out of 3 falls EFW World Title match between Casey Chase and Smitty was the match of the night. Certainly an emotional win for Casey who defeated the longest-reigning EFW World Champion Smitty to pickup his first world title and become only the second EFW Triple Crown Champion.

Card for EFW September House Show

EFW North American Title
Carlos Anderson (c) vs. Justin Springer

Due to the impromptu title change at EFW Supercard, Anderson will defend the title against the 3rd member of the Rockstar Mafia, Justin Springer. Springer was not at Supercard due to an arm injury sustained by Homeless Hank at the EFW J4 event in July. He is cleared to compete in this matchup.

Casey Chase vs. Don Rudy

Since winning the EFW World Title, Casey is seeking out to "burn his past" by removing himself from former friends and tag team partners. The first step? Taking out his former tag team partner Don Rudy. Rudy has not been highlighted a whole lot in the 3rd season of EFW, but a win against Casey will certainly bring him back into the title scene.

EFW Hardcore Title
Homeless Hank (c) vs. El Macho Lobsto vs. Warrant

Since Homeless Hank was not booked for EFW Supercard, he will be forced to defend against "The Crustacean Sensation" El Macho Lobsto and recent EFW Tag Team champion Warrant. The size advantage of Hank and Warrant could mean that they can single out Lobsto. Then again, Lobsto can use his speed to his advantage for a possible quick pinfall.

Rockstar Mafia (Mike Envy/Steve Cabana) vs. Sean Broman/Ocho Gato

The Rockstar Mafia as a tag team have been on a major tear in the tag team division going undefeated since the first EFW House Show in June. With the injury to Pink Elephant and Warrant involved in the Hardcore Title match, Broman and Ocho will combine to collectively attempt to break the undefeated winning streak of Mike Envy and Steve Cabana.

King Bryan vs. Dylan Royal

"Royalty versus Royal" is the nickname of this matchup. King Bryan will step back into a wrestling role taking on one of EFW's more exciting wrestlers, Dylan Royal. While a major contender in the Light Heavyweight division, Royal has had problems in the past defeating larger opponents.

Danny Young vs. Jamal Darnell

Danny Young is making his return since being out with a neck injury. Jamal Darnell wants to spoil the return party and utilize his submission-based offense for a possible tap out victory. Will a win here stir some trouble with the EFW LH Title picture?

EFW Debut Match
Kenzan Kotasu vs. Aura

Female Japanese wrestling import Kenzan Kotasu will be making her EFW debut against fellow female competitor Aura. Not much is known about "The Hydra", except that she tends to use a lot of technical moves and submission holds in her matchups. Can the rookie impress the EFW roster and secure a win?

EFW Supercard 2008 Preview

EFW Supercard 2008 will make its long-awaited broadcast on EFW's YouTube page sometime in late August. This marks the 4th straight Supercard event starting back in 2005 with it being an EFW tribute show using Smackdown SYM. The response was so great that it eventually led to the opening event of the modern EFW CAW league, Supercard 2006. Supercard has been a tradition of EFW to provide the best matches available to entertain and excite the fans, and this year's event just might top previous years.
